single/single marries my two great passions together - film and theatre. It’s a series of one take confessionals direct to camera, creating a shared intimacy between audience and actor. Think Fleabag meets Toa Fraser’s Bare.

I think the power of this project is in the way that the character breaks the fourth wall without the audience feeling put on the spot. Instead of feeling confronted, the audience should feel like the character is sharing something special with them, and only them.

The scripts come from many different places - some are from plays, others from films, some from books of poetry, and some have been written by the performers themselves. It’s an ongoing project which allows me to develop my performance directing skills, and work with incredible local actors on performances that are catered for the screen.

Warning - some monologues contain a cheeky swear word or two!
